Bill Report

A
legislative report is prepared by an industry analyst, collaborating
with TATA, to provide information to Congress and the public on proposed
legislation to temporarily reduce or eliminate the tariff on a specific
product. An example of one of these bills from the 109th Congress can

most of these bills, an analyst will provide a short (2 or 3 page)
report that provides information including the name of the company
requesting the tariff reduction, a description of the product, and an
estimate of the lost revenue if the reduction is enacted.

show how each FTA is implemented in the HTS nomenclature. For
information on the rates of duty and rules and conditions that must be
met to obtain a particular tariff treatment under each individual FTA,
