我们公司做医疗器械,最近遇到一个俄罗斯的客户,对我公司的蓝牙产品感兴趣(硬件+APP软件的这种产品),但是一上来就要蓝牙协议,态度超硬。而我希望客户能够先拿我们的样品,对产品有基本的了解之后再谈这个APP软件的集成等, 我们公司是不能轻易提供蓝牙协议或者API这类给客户的,一般也是要签订购合同才能给。先来看看客户充满敌意的邮件:
Dear Rita,
We will not be able check the adequacy of your Hardware without
understanding the SW first.
Once we receive the Bluetooth Protocol we will move forward.
Despite what your engineers might tell you. It holds no Intellectual Property,
or proprietary information. And without your HW it will tell us how long it will
take us to integrate your HW. And that is much more important in calculating
final cost of your products. Not just the cost of HW. I’m not even talking about
shipping time, customs, and all other annoyances which will delay us moving
forward. You send file, receive response within 3 days upon our review. With
hardware, you will wait a minimum of 1.5 months for response. If this is logical
time waste for you, i’m sorry. I don’t have that sort of patience.
Further more, your HW performance is a matter of SW
interpretation. Meaning your SW might tell us one thing, however your HW behaves
slightly differently, and thats hidden by the SW which you provide. So in order
for us to truly judge what your HW can do, and what it can do. It is in the BLE
Protocol.
Again, if you need an NDA. Please feel free to send it. We
have no interest in disclosing your software protocol. But we are not buying any
samples without it. I don’t need them. If you want me to send you 20$ so that
you feel like i bought something, feel free to send me an invoice. But i don’t
need souvenirs in my office. My engineering department has enough garbage on
their shelves i can’t force them to throw out.
