When the virus seems to be tamed down, so many stay-at-home families are eagerly rushing for an outing in this 5-day holiday.
It is really laborious to trek up the 10-km mountain path that zigzags its way to the peak on a hot day. Fortunately, clouds disperse themselves to hide the sun and provide some shade from time to time.
Light breeze wafts through a sea of shrubs and trees during a break at a wooden pavilion that overlooks farms, houses, rocks and brooks lying yonder along the valley.
A small green snake is napping snugly on a leafy bamboo twig that is swaying rhythmically with the wind. I have to say the creature is very good at camouflaging itself to resemble green leaves, so it is hard to notice at first sight; birds are foraging merrily for seeds or insects in this wild territory. Flowering reeds, rustling leaves, sprawling emerald vines and cascading waterfalls can also be seen here and there.
How wonderful the Nature is!
As is universally known, Nature has its own law and way to function, just like a plant sprouts, grows, thrives, withers and decays, and then repeats the cycle. But when too much human disturbance gets in, the broken cycle is doomed to backfire with adverse consequences.
It is good to see that lamp posts, irrigation pipelines, electricity pylons and cables, eco-friendly bicycle lanes and dams are put in place to make the wild Nature not so wild.
The harmony and balance between man and nature is attained when it is easy for us to inhale fresh air full of negative ions in this land.
