Happy 2022!
The holidays are sadly over and we have quota goals to crush.
One very effective, yet underutilized way to do that is by following up!
Recent research has shown that 70% of unanswered sales emails stop after the first attempt.
However, there is a 21% chance you’ll hear back from the recipient after the first follow-up email and a 25% chance of hearing back after that.
Moreover, 50% of sales happen after the 5th follow-up.
Email follow-up is well worth it, and by not following up, you lose on a real opportunity.
So, why do so many people give up so early?
Because writing follow up emails can be nerve-racking.
Here are some templates you can use to follow up by adding value and not being annoying as we begin the year.

Email Subject 02: Fixing problems and moving forward.
Hi XXX,
Just wanted to reach out to wish you a Happy New Year.
We spoke briefly last year about some of the goals and challenges you face so just wanted to circle back to see if you managed to find a suitable solution as yet.
If you would like to learn how other companies are dealing with challenges like yours, I would be happy to schedule a call. We could also talk a bit more about your challenges and determine whether or not I might be able to offer some help.
If you would like to talk some more, please use this link to my calendar where you can schedule a mutually convenient time for us to speak.

Email Subject 03: Before I lose you to all those meetings...

The holidays are now sadly over and our (work) calendars will soon be blocked up.
Before you get overwhelmed with meetings, I’d love to grab a few minutes of your time for that demo you asked about.
I promise, to make it worth your time so you have something useful to take back to your Management meeting as you know they will bring up the topic once again on how best to [specific solution you are offering].
If you’re interested, feel free to grab time on my calendar here: [Link to meetings tool]
Happy New Year,
