What is HTS Code?
==HTS stands for Harmonized Tariff Schedule.
Is it different from HS code in China?
==It is the same! Just the different name. Because HS is the “The harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System” in short.
HTS Further Illustration:
- Each county has its own HTS code for importing or exporting, just the different name sometimes.
- The first 6 digits or any HTS code is the same for any country. Just the rest 4 might be different.
- Because each country has its own rule and regulation for classification of goods.
前6位一致，后面4位可能不一致。

Anatomy of An HTS Code:
- The first 4-6 digits reflect the international nomenclature.
- 7-8 digits, in the US, they are on purpose for duty rate and others.
- The final 9-10 digits are for statistics aim, not really important enough.
- In this course, please pay more attention to the HTS in the US.
